A production cel and background from the Nickelodeon Studios animated series "The Ren and Stimpy Show" (1991-1996). Featuring Ren extremely angry with coffee grounds on his head and Stimpy wearing a black cat costume, the hand-painted cels and background were created at the studio and used during the animation process. Each piece is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the series. The cel layer of Ren appears in an episode titled "Stupid Sidekick Union," the cel layer of Stimpy appears in the episode titled "Superstitious Stimpy" and the background appears in the episode titled "School Mates." Measuring 10.75"x13.75" overall, with the character image measuring 4.5"x8", the setup is in very good condition with minor handling wear.
